The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.
Applications at the moment are open and will close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the subsequent requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home having a combined gross house earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined home revenue would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not post any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from households with combined R350 000 and R600 2025 nsfas application 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the correct Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or intend to research in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for 2025 nsfas application NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
